In 2004, it received legal authorization from the Ministry of National Education, Directorate General of Higher Education, focusing on the field of social development. Following the 2014 regulation eliminating department names and introducing study programs, the Sociology study Program separated from the Sociology Education Study Program. Subsequently, the university, through the Rector&#8217;s Decree in 2017, changed the program&#8217;s name from Development Sociology to simply &#8220;Sociology&#8221; to align with national standards. This restructuring necessitated improvements in curriculum and administration, ultimately leading to the formulation of the Sociology Program&#8217;s vision and In 2004, it received legal authorization from the Ministry of National Education, Directorate General of Higher Education, focusing on the field of social development. Following the 2014 regulation eliminating department names and introducing study programs, the Sociology study Program separated from the Sociology Education Study Program. Subsequently, the university, through the Rector&#8217;s Decree in 2017, changed the program&#8217;s name from Development Sociology to simply &#8220;Sociology&#8221; to align with national standards.
