Jakarta, February 2025 - Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) through the Office of the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni recently organized an important workshop focused on optimizing academic governance, student affairs, and faculty HR development. The event, aimed at Vice Deans and Program Coordinators, was held on February 25 and March 4, 2025, at the Latief Hendraningrat Hall, Dewi Sartika Building
Program Coordinators from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law (FISH) UNJ actively participated in the workshop designed to refine the main duties and functions at the program study level.
Prof. Ifan Iskandar, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Alumni, emphasized the important role of Program Coordinators in the university ecosystem. "Program coordinators serve as the spearhead at the university level," he stated. He also explained that proposals from Program Coordinators and Vice Deans would form the basis for reviewing the allocation of authority to leadership positions at the program study level.
The workshop focused on exploring and designing the main duties and functions of Program Coordinators at the faculty level, which will be incorporated into regulations and used to develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This approach ensures that assigned tasks will no longer be evaluated subjectively but based on clear performance standards.
The workshop agenda included in-depth discussions on faculty HR management and functional promotion procedures, which are highly relevant for FISH Program Coordinators in developing human resources within the faculty. Additionally, the Sikerma version 2 system was presented to facilitate cooperation between units within UNJ.
FISH Program Coordinators had the opportunity to address various challenges faced in academic processes and program management, as well as contribute to discussions on potential solutions, including continuous professional development programs and the creation of a conducive academic climate.
This workshop marks an important milestone for FISH Program Coordinators to be directly involved in improving UNJ's academic governance system, which will positively impact the quality of education at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law.[]
