This course lays the essential groundwork of knowledge and theories surrounding communication. It will serve as the primary foundation for all students to explore the study of Communication in greater depth. Drawing from the textbook “Human Communication,” first-semester students will learn everything from fundamental concepts, forms, theories, types, and much more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this course, first-semester students will be introduced to the basic materials and knowledge of public relations, a core focus within Communication Science. Foundational aspects of Public Relations, such as cultivating relationship opportunities, building organizational or corporate collaborations, and understanding its technicalities, will become a robust foundation for your Communication journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As the name suggests, “Mass Communication” will primarily focus on understanding how the masses operate. Questions you might have, such as “How do the masses influence each individual?”, “How does mass media shape public opinion?”, and “How do you communicate with mass media on a large scale?” will undoubtedly be answered within the explorations of the “Introduction to Mass Communication” course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This course delves into the philosophical origins and the ethical principles that govern conduct in business communication. Given the S-1 Communication Science at UNJ’s focus on business communication, this subject forms a core foundation, equipping all students with essential material for in-depth communication studies in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This course is designed to hone and further develop the creative thinking skills of all students. Moving beyond theory, it emphasizes hands-on practice that requires us to engage directly in the field to think creatively within communication studies. This includes areas like business development, content production, innovative news coverage, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The central theme of this course explores the intersection of communication and technology. It’s a vital subject as it extensively covers the realm of digital communication. A key requirement for all first-semester students in their final exam is the creation of a digital book, commonly known as an E-Book, focusing on the various topics learned within the S-1 Communication Science program at UNJ.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Communication, Communication Statistics teaches us about processing and operating data, both through fundamental methods and digital tools.
