Islamic Education
Study Program
The Islamic Education Study Program is located at the Faculty of Social Sciences, State University of Jakarta (after this, referred to as PS PAI FIS UNJ). PS PAI FIS UNJ continues the Islamic Religious Studies Program (shortened to PS IAI). PS IAI FIS UNJ is the first Islamic religious study program established in public universities (PTU) under the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia, shown in 2004 based on the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 4883/D/T/2004 dated December 31, 2004, with the name Islamic Religious Studies Study Program. Based on the Decree of the Rector of UNJ No. 236 / SP / 2011, PS IAI opened 2 (two) concentrations, namely Islamic Communication and Broadcasting (KPI) and Islamic Education Science (IPI).
In 2012, PS IAI FIS UNJ was accredited for the first time based on BAN-PT Decree no. 017/BAN-PT/Ak-XV/S1/VI/2012 with an accreditation rating of "B". In 2017, PS IAI FIS UNJ was accredited for the second time based on BAN-PT Decree No. 4124/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/X/2017 with an accredited rating of "A" (attached). In 2021, based on the recommendation of the Director General of Pendis of the Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia, No. B-2403.1/BD. I/PP.01/08/2021, it is recommended to change the name of PS IAI to PS PAI. Furthermore, this recommendation was followed up by the Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Indonesia No.: 49/E/0/2022 concerning the Change of Name of the Islamic Religious Science Study Program for Undergraduate Programs to the Islamic Religious Education Study Program for Undergraduate Programs at the State University of Jakarta in Jakarta. UPPS FIS UNJ is located at Jl. Rawamangun, East Jakarta, Indonesia.
