Jakarta, October 24th 2023 — Today, the Sociology Study Program of Universitas Negeri Jakarta and Universitas Negeri Surabaya, announced that both are establishing a close collaboration in the field of Sociology. This step is aimed at expanding the quality of Sociology education and research in Indonesia, as well as promoting scientific exchanges between the two institutions. Universitas Negeri Jakarta and Universitas Negeri Surabaya have a long history of high-quality Sociology education and innovative research. With the combined strengths of these two universities, it is envisioned that new collaborations will be launched that will support the development of Sociology in Indonesia. One of the main focus areas of this collaboration is student exchange, lecturer exchange and journal collaboration. This will create opportunities for students to experience teaching in a research environment that can enrich their experience.

Coordinator of Sociology Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Meila Riskia, S.Pd, M.Si stated, “This collaboration will create opportunities for innovation and further development in Sociology. In addition to the student, lecturer exchanges, and journal collaboration, the program also includes the implementation of joint seminars, workshops, and joint research in various aspects of Sociology.
