UNJ Sociology Seeks Cutting-Edge Approaches: Participates in "Synchronizing and Updating Learning Programs" Workshop

Bogor, January 19, 2024 – The Sociology Study Program of Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) participated in a workshop titled "Synchronizing and Updating Learning Programs" held at Savero Hotel Bogor.

The two-day agenda, from January 18-19, 2024, saw the attendance of the Dean of UNJ's Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Firdaus Wajdi, the Coordinator of the Sociology Study Program, Dr. Asep Suryana, the Coordinator of the Sociology Education Study Program, Ubedilah Badrun, and all lecturers and administrative staff of both programs.

Internal speakers Rakhmat Hidayat, PhD., and Dr. Robertus Robet, MA., along with alumni Fathoni Ihsan, M.Si., and Wahyu Pratama Tamba, M.Kes., facilitated discussions on crucial planning areas for both programs. These included laboratory development, international classes, preparing lecturers for international standards, and establishing a Master's degree in Sociology.

The workshop emphasized the need for continuous curriculum updates, reflecting the evolving landscape and social dynamics of global education. As Ubedilah Badrun, Coordinator of the Sociology Education program, stated, the workshop outcome resulted in a Semester Learning Plan aligned with international standards. Dr. Firdaus Wajdi, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, reiterated the workshop's importance in realizing the faculty and university's vision. Dr. Yuanita Aprilandini Siregar, M.Si., the head organizer, emphasized the workshop's focus on sustainable scientific development, making it a mandatory annual program. In conclusion, this workshop served as a vital platform to synchronize curriculum and Semester Learning Plans with the evolving international standards in social science education.
