S-1 Communication Science Program Strengthens Its Strategic Role at the HISPISI 2024-2028 Inauguration and National Seminar

Jakarta, August 2 2025, – S-1 Communication Science lecturers of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Jakarta, actively participated in the National Seminar and Inauguration of the Central Board of HISPISI (Indonesia Association for Social Educationist) for the 2024–2028 period, held on August 1–2, 2025 at the Latif Hendraningrat Auditorium, UNJ.

Carrying the theme “The Transformation of Social Science Education for Impactful Higher Education” this seminar brought together educators, researchers, and program coordinators from leading social science study programs across Indonesia. S-1 Communication Science Program took part in discussions surrounding the relevance of communication in supporting interdisciplinary collaboration and institutional synergy in the field of social education.

Representing the program, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR, attended the seminar as Coordinator of S-1 Communication Science and was formally appointed as Coordinator of the Inter-Institutional Collaboration Division in the newly inaugurated HISPISI board for 2024-2028 period. This appointment reflects the trust placed in communication scholars to contribute to strengthening academic networks between institutions, particularly in the context of social education.

Further highlighting the program’s involvement, Dr. Elisabeth Nugrahaeni P.S, M.Si, one of the lecturers from S-1 Communication Science Program, was also appointed as a member of the Research and Development Division (Litbang) under the same HISPISI leadership structure. Her involvement further demonstrates the program’s growing contribution to national-level academic development, particularly in social research.

Over the two-day forum, participants engaged in keynote sessions, academic panels, and institutional discussions involving representatives from UNJ, UNESA, UNP, UPI, UNM, Universitas Negeri Malang, and others. The event also marked the launch of HISPISI’s new official website and digital platform for FISH UNJ.

Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR expressed her appreciation, “Alhamdulillah, it is an honor for the lecturers of S-1 Communication Science at UNJ to take part in this important HISPISI event. Two of us have been entrusted with positions in the newly inaugurated board. We hope for your continued support and prayers as we carry out this responsibility.”

The involvement of the S-1 Communication Science Program in this national event underscores its commitment to contributing meaningfully to the broader landscape of social science education through collaboration, shared knowledge, and communication-centered approaches.
