S-1 Communication Science UNJ Students Gain Insights from Pinastika Creative Roadshow

Jakarta, September 30, 2025 — S-1 Communication Science Program, Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), in collaboration with the courses Creative Advertising, Integrated Marketing Communication (IMC), and Digital Media Management, hosted the Pinastika Creative Roadshow attended by Communication Science students of the 2024 batch. The event introduced students to the dynamics of the creative and advertising industries through interactive sessions with industry practitioners.

The program opened with a welcome speech from Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR, Coordinator of the S-1 Communication Science Program, who emphasized the importance of industry collaboration in strengthening the relevance of academic learning. This was followed by remarks from Mr. Haris, Pinastika representative, who highlighted creativity as a key factor in today’s advertising landscape.

The main session featured a talk show with Mr. Ef Loygara, Founder and Director of Ronaksara, alongside Mr. Haris. Moderated by a host, the speakers discussed strategies for creating impactful advertisements for younger audiences.

“Advertisements targeting young people must be highly creative, concise, and engaging, with strong storytelling elements, as the younger generation has a short attention span,” said Mr. Ef Loygara.

Mr. Haris added that fresh graduates should cultivate the right mindset by continuously improving their skills and creativity. He also stressed the importance of storytelling as a tool to build empathy and strengthen creative expression.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, followed by a giveaway and the distribution of digital certificates to participants. A group photo of the committee and students marked the closing of the event.

The Coordinator of S-1 Communication Science UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., stated “We look forward to receiving the best works of 2024 to be submitted to the Pinastika competition and other competitions. Last year, none of our students made it to the finals, so hopefully this year some of our students will qualify as finalists and hopefully win a gold medal.”

The Pinastika Creative Roadshow is expected to enrich the perspectives of UNJ’s Communication Science students and better prepare them for careers in the creative and advertising industries.
