S-1 Communication Science UNJ Students Engage in BPJS Kesehatan Campus Talk on JKN and Digital Service Transformation

Jakarta, October 2, 2025 — S-1 Communication Science UNJ, in collaboration with the Philosophy and Ethics of Communication course led by Dr. Elisabet Nugrahaeni P., M.Si. and Noprita Herari, M.I.Kom. actively participated in the Campus Talk BPJS Kesehatan event. The activity served as an educational forum to introduce the National Health Insurance (JKN) program and the ongoing digital service transformation of BPJS Kesehatan.

The event was officially opened by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law (FISH) UNJ. The main session featured Mohammad Iqbal Anas Ma’ruf, Deputy Director of Organizational Communication at BPJS Kesehatan, who delivered an interactive presentation on the institution’s service transformation, digital innovation, and the benefits of JKN for the Indonesian public.

One of the innovations that drew strong attention was the Mobile JKN Application, which allows participants to register, check bills, and queue online without visiting BPJS branch offices. This initiative aligns with BPJS Kesehatan’s broader mission to enhance efficiency and inclusivity in public health services.

One of the featured innovations that has gained significant attention is the Mobile JKN Application. This application makes it easier for participants to access various services without having to come directly to branch offices, starting from registration, bill checking, to online queues at healthcare facilities.

On this occasion, he also explained how JKN has become a social protection system for millions of Indonesians. Through this program, people from various economic backgrounds can obtain fair and equal access to healthcare services.

The Coordinator of S-1 Communication Science UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., stated “The S1-Communication Science initiated this event, which began with a chat between PIC and the program. During the meeting, it became clear that this was not just a program-level issue, but a faculty-level issue, so the event then expanded to include various representatives from FISH student organizations, with Communication Science students participating the most as initiators.”

The event concluded with a group photo session involving BPJS Kesehatan representatives, lecturers of FISH UNJ, and participating students. The moment symbolized a shared commitment to continuously promote public education on the importance of national health insurance and digital innovation for all Indonesians.
