Jakarta, December 21, 2025 — Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., the coordinator of Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), was officially inaugurated as Secretary II of the Association of Higher Education in Communication Studies (ASPIKOM) Jabodetabek Regional Board for the 2025–2029 term.
The inauguration took place during ASPIKOM Jabodetabek Board Inauguration Ceremony held at Kemala Ballroom, Universitas Esa Unggul, Jakarta, and was attended by the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr. Budi Santoso, M.Si, who delivered the keynote address.
The event was attended by communication scholars and representatives from various universities across Greater Jakarta. In addition to the inauguration, the program featured a national seminar titled “The Future of Communication: AI, Media Integrity, and the Knowledge Ecosystem,” institutional partnership signings, and a book review session.
In his keynote speech, the Minister of Trade emphasized the strategic importance of communication science in supporting public policy, trade development, and digital transformation. He highlighted the roles of academics in shaping a credible, ethical, and adaptive information ecosystem.
Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR.’s appointment reflects the trust and recognition of her academic leadership and contributions to the development of communication science studies at both institutional and regional levels. Her role as Secretary II is expected to strengthen organizational governance and foster collaboration among higher education institutions in the field of communication.
In her statement, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR. expressed her commitment to advancing ASPIKOM’s mission:

With the inauguration of the new board, ASPIKOM Jabodetabek is expected to further enhance its contribution to the development of communication scholarship and its relevance to national development.
