Jakarta, December 20, 2025 — The Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program of Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) played a key role in the Introduction to Academic Programs and Facilities event organized by the Faculty of Social and Law Sciences (FISH) UNJ in collaboration with SMA 3 Al-Muhajirin, held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Room 212, Building K, UNJ.
The event was attended by the Dean of FISH UNJ, Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programs, lecturers, academic staff, DUTA FISH, and the FISH Media Center team. Among the invited speakers was the Head of the Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR, who played an active role in engaging with students and teachers throughout the session.

During the event, FISH UNJ presented an overview of its academic environment, including introductions to the various study programs under the faculty. One of the programs highlighted was the Undergraduate Communication Science Program, which drew significant attention from students due to its relevance to contemporary media, digital communication, and industry needs.
A major focus of the session was the presentation of each study program, including the Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program, which addressed not only academic orientation but also opportunities for inter-institutional collaboration, particularly between higher education institutions and secondary schools. The presentation delivered by Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR. highlighted how the Communication Science Study Program actively develops partnerships with educational institutions, media organizations, and industry stakeholders.

During her presentation, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR. explained that many collaboration initiatives today originate from digital engagement through social media platforms, especially Instagram. The active and consistent branding carried out by the Communication Science Study Program on Instagram has increased public visibility and attracted various institutions to initiate cooperation.
She further elaborated that strong program branding significantly influences external collaboration decisions. In several cases, collaboration requests formally submitted through UNJ at the faculty or university level specifically targeted students from the Communication Science Study Program. One notable example involved Kompas.com, which expressed a preference to collaborate exclusively with Communication Science students. This preference reflects the program’s strong branding strategy, sustained visibility, and recognized academic reputation in the field of communication.

The Head of the Communication Science Study Program, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., emphasized the importance of such school visits in introducing students to the dynamic nature of communication science study program.
“This event serves as a strategic platform to promote the study program’s profile and attract prospective students to enroll in the Undergraduate Communication Science program,” she stated.
Through this collaborative event with SMA 3 Al-Muhajirin, FISH UNJ reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships with secondary schools, while the Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program demonstrated its active contribution in promoting academic excellence, collaboration, and industry engagement.
