
Jakarta, January 7th, 2026 – Undergraduate of Communication Science UNJ has once again achieved a proud accomplishment with the selection of its students for the StageU program curated by Kompas TV. Rahmat, Undergraduate of Communication Science batch 2023, was selected from hundreds of participants across Indonesia to participate in an intensive booth camp with leading media practitioners in their fields after his writing was declared to have passed the qualification stage.
StageU is a national competition initiated by Kompas TV to increase Indonesian students’ interest in media and journalism, both television and digital. The competition are divided into three categories, they are “Content Creator”, “Content Writer” and “Video Editor”, which can be participated either individually or groups.
This program aims to open up more creative space for Indonesian students, encourage digital storytelling skills, and prepare young talents who are ready to contribute to the world of broadcasting media. Participants who pass these curations will receive intensive and exclusive learning sessions with experienced speakers in their fields.
Rahmat participated in the StageU Bootcamp, which was scheduled to take place online from
December 3th until December 5th 2025. This bootcamp featured various materials from professional practitioners, including presentation sessions such as “Speaking in front of the Camera” with Frisca Clarissa, “Writing Articles” with Edy Putra, “Videography” with Daday Rahmat, “Video Editing” with Aditya Pramana, and “Social Media” with Roro Ajeng.
The Coordinator of Communication Science UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., expressed her feelings “This achievement demonstrates our students’ competitive quality and aligns with our mission to cultivate skilled, industry-ready communication professionals.”
After completed the bootcamp, each participant will receive a follow-up challenge, with their work showcased through Kompas TV’s digital assets, both on YouTube and Instagram. This provides a valuable opportunity for students to showcase their skills on a national media platform.
