Jakarta, October 26, 2026 — Undergraduate of Communication Science Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) held COMMPRENEUR 2026: Connect, Create, Collaborate, a student entrepreneurship fair at the lobby and Arema Prestasi area of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law (FISH), UNJ. Held on October 26, 2026, the event was part of the midterm assessment for the Copywriting course for the 2024 cohort and coincided with the program’s accreditation process.
A total of 21 Communication student-run micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) participated in the fair, showcasing a variety of culinary products and locally made creative goods. The event provided members of the university community with an interactive opportunity to explore student businesses, enjoy a range of culinary offerings, and engage with the young entrepreneurs behind them. Beyond serving as a platform to promote student businesses, the fair also provided lecturers with an opportunity to assess students’ work firsthand. Accreditation assessors also visited the event as part of the program’s accreditation process.

The fair received a positive response from the program’s leadership. Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR, the Copywriting course lecturer and Coordinator of the Undergraduate Communication Science Program at UNJ, emphasized that the event served as a practical platform for students to develop their creativity and entrepreneurial mindset. She explained that the fair went beyond fulfilling an academic requirement by allowing students to apply communication and marketing concepts in a real-world setting.
“The MSME fair goes beyond simply fulfilling the requirements of a copywriting assignment. It provides students with a practical space to sharpen their critical thinking, develop creative marketing messages, and cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset. Interacting directly with consumers on campus also helps students gain a deeper understanding of the theories they have learned in class. Moreover, as the event coincides with the accreditation process for the Undergraduate Communication Science Program, it offers an opportunity to showcase the program’s positive academic activities and the quality of its students’ work,” said Dr. Dini Safitri.
COMMPRENEUR 2026 Event Chair Sharen Nabila Putri highlighted the importance of teamwork throughout the preparation and implementation of the event. She explained that bringing the fair to life required the committee to coordinate several key aspects, including the visual concept, promotional strategies, and the operational needs of all 21 participating student businesses. Managing these elements within a limited timeframe presented its own challenges, but the committee’s collaboration helped ensure that the event ran smoothly.
“From the beginning, we wanted to create a space where students could gain hands-on experience rather than rely solely on classroom theory. Coordinating the visual concept, promotional strategies, and operational needs of 21 student-run businesses within a limited timeframe certainly presented its own challenges. However, seeing the strong enthusiasm from visitors and the preparedness of the entire committee made all the hard work worthwhile,” said Sharen Nabila Putri.
The event concluded with a group photo featuring members of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law community, marking the collective experience shared throughout COMMPRENEUR 2026. The fair represented an opportunity for Undergraduate Communication Science students to put their academic knowledge into practice while developing their creative, promotional, and entrepreneurial skills. Through direct engagement with consumers and the management of student-run businesses, participants gained practical experience that can support their preparation for the increasingly competitive creative industry and the evolving field of communication-based entrepreneurship.
