
Jakarta, October 8, 2025 — The S-1 Communication Science Program at the Faculty of Social Science and Law (FISH) UNJ proudly marked a memorable moment during the 2024/2025 Academic Year commencement ceremony. In his graduation address, the Rector of UNJ expressed deep appreciation for the outstanding, excellent, and proud graduates who have brought achievements and honor to the university.
One of the names highlighted in the Rector’s speech was Praventyasari Mutiara, a graduate from the S-1 Communication Science program, recognized for her remarkable accomplishment in the Widyatama International Competition (Winaction) 2023, where she won 1st Runner-up (Juara Harapan 1) in the English Speech Competition. Her achievement stood as a testament to UNJ students’ competence and competitiveness at the national and international levels.
The Winaction 2023 competition brought together participants from various universities across Indonesia and abroad, focusing on students’ ability to deliver persuasive and impactful speeches in English. Praventyasari’s success was described by the Rector as a source of pride that reflects the quality and character of UNJ’s academic community.
The graduation ceremony, held at the UNJ Sports Hall, was attended by hundreds of graduates, faculty members, and families. Among other notable names mentioned was Praventyasari Mutiara, a fellow S-1 Communication Science graduate whose unique name caught public attention.
The Coordinator of S-1 Communication Science UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., expresses her feelings “Congratulations to Tya for earning her bachelor’s degree in Communication Science. Tya’s English skills have not only been used for personal achievements, but she has also helped the study program with FIBAA accreditation activities. We look forward to her future contributions to the study program as an alumna.”The S-1 Communication Science program continues to uphold its mission of developing creative, critical, and socially responsible communicators. The achievements of graduates like Praventyasari and Ero embody UNJ’s continuous effort to nurture students who bring pride, excellence, and positive impact to society.
