Undergraduate of Communication Science UNJ Helds Copywriting Seminar

Jakarta, March 2, 2026 – Undergraduate Program in Communication Science, Faculty of Social Sciences, Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ), successfully held a seminar titled “From Words to Earth: Strategic Copywriting for Shaping Environmental Awareness” on Monday, March 2, 2026. The event took place at Aula Bung Hatta, Graduate School Building, and served as an academic forum aimed at strengthening global collaboration and exploring the strategic role of copywriting in addressing environmental issues.

The seminar featured a distinguished guest lecturer, Post. Dr. Tapas Pal from Raiganj University. In her opening remarks, the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Communication Science Program, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR, emphasized that the seminar was organized to foster academic collaboration and encourage students to understand how strategic copywriting can contribute to shaping a greener and more sustainable future.

During the session, Post. Dr. Tapas Pal elaborated on recent climate change phenomena and environmental disasters occurring worldwide. He highlighted the urgency of effective communication in raising public awareness about environmental challenges. Furthermore, he discussed the distinctions between copywriting and copyright, as well as the growing role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in content creation, underlining both its opportunities and ethical considerations in today’s digital communication landscape.

Through this activity, the Undergraduate Program in Communication Science UNJ reaffirmed its commitment to promoting interdisciplinary dialogue and equipping students with strategic communication skills that contribute to environmental responsibility and global sustainability.
