
Jakarta, March 2, 2026 – Communication Science study program UNJ, will serve as co-host for an upcoming international conference as part of a newly signed collaboration with Thailand’s National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA). The agreement was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed on Monday, March 2nd 2026, at FISH UNJ Building, Jakarta.
The signing ceremony followed a Focus Group Discussion attended by approximately 30 faculty leaders and program coordinators. The event was led by Firdaus Wajdi, M.A., Ph.D., Dean of FISH UNJ, and Assoc. Prof. Asawin Nedpogaeo, Ph.D., Dean of the Graduate School of Communication Arts Management and Innovation at NIDA Thailand.
Under the agreement, the Undergraduate of Communication Science program will take a leading role as co-host for a joint international conference focused on digital communication and media innovation. This initiative aims to provide students and faculty with a platform for academic exchange and research collaboration.
The partnership also opens graduate study opportunities for Communication Science graduates at NIDA’s English-taught international programs. Prof. Asawin highlighted that NIDA’s curriculum has evolved over four decades to integrate digital innovation, data analytics, and artificial intelligence into communication studies.
The Coordinator of Communication Science UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., expressed her feelings, “In collaboration with NIDA, undergraduate Communication Science has the opportunity to participate in conferences and publications. In the future, we will also collaborate on joint degrees and other programs.”
NIDA is consistently ranked among Thailand’s top 10 higher education institutions in the SCImago Institutions Rankings 2025, based on research publication performance and citation impact. The partnership reinforces FISH UNJ’s commitment to global engagement and positions the Communication Science program at the forefront of international academic collaboration.
