
JAKARTA, May 10 2026 – Undergraduate of Communication Science UNJ held an online Digital Journalism class through Zoom Workplace attended by more than 140 students from the 2024 and 2025 cohorts on May 8, 2026. The activity aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of digital journalism practices and communication skills in the digital era.
The class was conducted interactively with discussions between lecturers, moderators, and students during the online session. Participants actively engaged in the learning process through presentations, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions related to journalism and digital communication.
The Digital Journalism class became part of the academic learning activities designed to improve students’ analytical skills, media literacy, and understanding of journalistic ethics in today’s digital environment. The session also encouraged students to adapt to the rapidly changing media landscape and technological developments.
“This class is expected to help students develop critical thinking and strengthen their ability to produce responsible and credible digital content,” said one of the organizers during the session.
The online activity reflected the commitment of the Communication Science Program at UNJ to creating collaborative and adaptive learning environments through digital platforms. The participation of students from different cohorts also demonstrated high enthusiasm for journalism and communication studies.
The Coordinator of Communication Science UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., expressed her feelings, “This guest lecture demonstrates the program’s commitment to enhancing learning outcomes not only through theory but also through insights from practitioners so that students gain an understanding of the real-world challenges in the field of digital journalism”
Through this activity, the Undergraduate of Communication Science UNJ is expected to continue encouraging students to enhance their competencies in journalism, digital communication, and media literacy in order to contribute positively to society and the communication industry.
