JAKARTA (8/9/2023) – Held for two days on 6-7 September 2023, the Bachelor of Communication Science study program at Jakarta State University held an annual program which was temporarily absent due to the pandemic covid-19, that isSuper Student Motivation Training (SSMT). With the theme “Unlocking Potential Together with Communication ”, this year’s SSMT was held at Villa Bahtera & Nirwana, Megamendung, Kab. Bogor.
Because this event was absent during the pandemic, this SSMT was attended by 3 classes, namely the 2021, 2022 and 2023 classes with a total of 325 students as participants. This event was held to introduce campus culture to all students, strengthen solidarity among fellow generations, and also as a forum for learning about how students can improve their communication skills for academic and professional needs.
This activity was opened by Prof. Dr. Sarkadi, M.Si as Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at UNJ and also attended by Dr. Abdul Haris F., M.Si as Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Social Sciences, UNJ. The Dean opened the event and gave a welcoming speech at the release of the SSMT participants at the UNJ open theater before heading to the activity location.
In this SSMT series, there is also Motivational Training which invites an inspirational figure as a resource person, Muvtizar Solichin, or better known as Kang Muvti. He brought material that invited participants to learn and communicate actively. Apart from that, there are other activities such as talent shows, sharing sessions, and workshops between lecturers and students.
“I am happy with this series of SSMT events. The material presented is also good and can be a learning experience for me personally. And hopefully this SSMT event will continue every year with good updates,” said Christian Abednego, student of the Jakarta State University Communication Science study program class of 2023.
Hertanto Wijaya as the chief organizer of this year’s SSMT expressed his joy because the SSMT event, which was previously absent due to the pandemic, could be held. He hopes that what has been given during SSMT can be useful for all students.
Mrs. Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR as Coordinator of the Bachelor of Communication Science Study Program at Jakarta State University also gave positive comments.
“Thank God, the activity went smoothly even though I received several reports which will be used as evaluation material for future activities. Apart from that there will be rebranding a new name for this event. “Thank you to the committee who have worked,” said Dini.
