S-1 Communication Science Graduate Shares MSIB Internship Experience at UNJ Graduation Ceremony

Jakarta, October 10, 2025S-1 Communication Science student Luthfi shared his valuable experience during the Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) graduation ceremony, reflecting on how the Kampus Merdeka Certified Internship (MSIB) program had shaped his academic and professional journey.

“This experience added real value when applying for jobs. I was even offered an extended collaboration by the company where I interned,” Luthfi stated.

Luthfi also expressed his full support for the government’s initiative to ensure internships are compensated at least equivalent to the regional minimum wage (UMP). He emphasized that compensation represents more than just financial reward — it symbolizes professional recognition.

“Compensation is not merely about money, but a form of acknowledgment. It helps create a fair and productive internship environment,” he added.

The Coordinator of S-1 Communication Science UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., expresses her feelings “Congratulations to Luthfi for his outstanding achievements during his time as a student in the S1-Communication Science. In addition to being the student with the highest GPA in the S1-Communication Science program at UNJ during this graduation ceremony, he has also proven himself to be actively involved in various non-academic activities, such as serving as a FIS ambassador (DUTA FIS), an UNJ ambassador (DUTA UNJ), and having the opportunity to participate in the MSIB program. I know there have been many ups and downs along the way, but Luthfi has managed to navigate them all successfully.”

Through programs like MSIB, students gain practical exposure while companies benefit from young talent ready to contribute. The initiative is expected to continue improving internship quality and labor readiness among university students in Indonesia.
