Jakarta, October 26, 2025 — The S-1 Communication Science Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) participated in a public lecture titled “Majapahit through Visual Lens: Inspiring National Identity and Civilization Toward Golden Indonesia 2045”, organized by the S-1 History Education Program, Faculty of Social Sciences and Law (FISH) UNJ. The event was held at the Labschool Rawamangun Auditorium and attended by undergraduate students from both programs.
The session featured Heru Effendy, author of “WIJAYA: Buku Visual Majapahit”, who invited participants to explore the glory of the Majapahit Kingdom through visual storytelling as an inspiration for rebuilding Indonesia’s national identity toward 2045.
Appreciation was extended to the speakers — Dr. Nur’aeni Martha, M. Hasmi Yanuardi, M.Hum., and Drs. Moh. Shobirinoer Rasyid — as well as moderator Marah Bangun, S.S. The Dean of FISH UNJ, Dr. Firdaus Wajdi, Ph.D., in his opening remarks, encouraged students to rediscover the relevance of history as a foundation for national development.
The Coordinator of S-1 Communication Science UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., expresses her feelings, “The book is not merely a historical documentation, but also serves as interpretive data that revives the narrative of the archipelago’s glory in visual language, which has become a cultural heritage for the digital generation to strengthen identity and encourage interdisciplinary dialogue, including communication studies.”
Through this public lecture, the S-1 Communication Science Program continues to promote cross-disciplinary learning that fosters historical awareness and strengthens students’ contribution toward achieving Golden Indonesia 2045.
