S-1 Communication Science UNJ Lecturer Dr. Kinkin Yuliaty Subarsa Putri Advances Communication Studies and Media Literacy

Jakarta, October 30, 2025 — The S-1 Communication Science Program UNJ, proudly highlights the scholarly achievements of Dr. Kinkin Yuliaty Subarsa Putri, whose long-standing dedication has advanced the study of communication and strengthened media literacy among students and the broader public.

Dr Kinkin’s authorship of multiple textbooks and monographs, initiated in 2008 and solidified through collaboration with RajaGrafindo Persada from 2017 onwards, exemplifies her commitment to creating pedagogical materials grounded in classroom evaluation, student feedback and empirical investigation. These publications serve to strengthen the foundation of the communication curriculum at UNJ, enabling students to engage critically with media, understand the mechanics of mass communication, and develop ethical sensitivity in digital environments.

Through her teaching and publications, Dr. Kinkin consistently promotes media literacy as a critical competence for students and the public. She encourages critical awareness of media consumption, the ethical use of information, and the development of responsible communication behavior in online and offline spaces. Her initiatives reflect a vision of communication education that not only informs but also empowers individuals to engage thoughtfully in contemporary media culture.
