Undergraduate of Communication Science UNJ Concludes Final Session of International Collaboration with HSE University Russia

Jakarta, November 21, 2025 — Undergraduate of Communication Science UNJ concluded the final session of its international collaboration with HSE University Russia through a virtual meeting on 19 November 2025. The session served as the closing stage of a joint project conducted under the Communication Theory course, featuring opening remarks from Prof. Elizaveta A. Smirnova (HSE University) and Dr. Kinkin Subarsa Putry, M.Si. (UNJ).

During the session, students delivered video presentations comparing cultural similarities and differences between Indonesia and Russia. The videos showcased reflections on cultural identity, daily routines, and social habits, illustrating how shared values and unique cultural expressions contribute to deeper intercultural understanding.

A Q&A segment, moderated by Prof. Smirnova, invited students to discuss their creative process, challenges in cross-cultural collaboration, and key insights gained throughout the project. The dialogue highlighted how international student-centered activities can strengthen both academic learning and personal growth.

The Coordinator of Undergraduate  Communication Science UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., stated “Alhamdulillah, the collaborative project to produce a cultural video portraying the everyday lives of Indonesian and Russian students has been carried out successfully. Despite a few points for improvement, both teams delivered their best efforts.”

The conclusion of this session marks a significant step toward strengthening academic partnerships and fostering long-term intercultural engagement between UNJ and HSE University.
