
Jakarta, April 23, 2026 — Communication Science Lecturers UNJ, showcased two community engagement projects at the Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) Exhibition, The event held at Bung Hatta Hall, UNJ Postgraduate Building, featured faculty booths, project presentations, and focus group discussions.
The Communication Science study program presented two initiatives addressing social and environmental issues within the Mat Peci Ciliwung Community, Jakarta. The first project, led by Sandy Alifiansyah, M.A., Ph.D., focused on raising awareness of radicalization among children using context-based communication approaches. The second project, led by Dr. M. Fikri Akbar, S.I.Kom., M.Si., M.M., provided public speaking training to strengthen children’s participation in environmental discussions.
Dr. Elisabeth Nugrahaeni P.S., M.Si., Vice Dean for Research, Innovation, Information Systems, and Cooperation, attended the exhibition, demonstrating institutional support for community-driven academic initiatives.
The Coordinator of Communication Science UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., expressed her feelings, “This initiative demonstrates that the community service activities carried out by faculty members in the undergraduate program in Communication Studies have a tangible impact on the community”
The PKM Exhibition serves as a platform for applying academic expertise to real-world issues. The Communication Science study program remains committed to developing impactful, sustainable community engagement initiatives that respond to urgent social and environmental challenges.
