Student Code of Conduct Undergraduate Communication Science Universitas Negeri Jakarta

The Undergraduate of Communication Science Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) is committed to fostering discipline, integrity, professionalism, and mutual respect throughout students’ academic journey. To support a safe, inclusive, and conducive learning environment, all students are expected to comply with Rector Regulation of Universitas Negeri Jakarta Number 25 of 2024 on the Code of Ethics and Academic Ethics.

This regulation establishes ethical standards governing students’ conduct toward the University, lecturers, educational staff, fellow students, the wider community, as well as during all academic and campus activities.

The following are the key regulations that all students are expected to observe:

Academic Ethic

  1. Students are expected to:Attend classes punctually and actively participate in all learning activities.
  2. Maintain the cleanliness and proper use of classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and other university facilities.
  3. Uphold academic integrity by avoiding plagiarism, cheating, and all forms of academic misconduct.
  4. Ensure that all academic assignments, research, and theses are based on accurate, valid, and credible sources of information.

Dress Code and Appearance

Students are required to:

  1. Wear neat, modest, and appropriate attire while on campus.
  2. Wear shoes during all academic activities.
  3. Comply with any additional dress requirements applicable to official ceremonies, laboratory sessions, fieldwork, or other university events.

Campus Conduct

Students are expected to:

  1. Demonstrate respect, courtesy, and professionalism toward lecturers, educational staff, fellow students, and all members of the university community.
  2. Refrain from bringing prohibited items onto campus, including weapons, firearms, illegal drugs, alcoholic beverages, or other dangerous materials.
  3. Observe the University’s smoke-free campus policy by refraining from smoking in all designated non-smoking areas.
  4. Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment through responsible behavior and positive interactions.

The Undergraduate Communication Science Program encourages all students to familiarize themselves with these regulations and consistently uphold them as responsible members of the Universitas Negeri Jakarta academic community. By adhering to these standards, students contribute to a positive learning environment that promotes academic excellence, mutual respect, ethical conduct, and professional development throughout their university experience.
