Jakarta, 7 September 2026 — Undergraduate of Communication Science Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) successfully conducted the 2026 New Student Campus Life Introduction Program (Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru or PKKMB). Held under the theme Begin With Courage, Grow With Knowledge, the two-day program took place in a hybrid format, with the online session conducted via Zoom Meeting on 26 August 2026 and the in-person session held on 27 August 2026 at the Multipurpose Hall, Building K, Faculty of Social Sciences and Law (FISH) UNJ. The program served as an initial step for new students to become familiar with their academic environment while preparing themselves for university life in the Undergraduate Communication Science Program.

A total of 81 new students participated in the program, which was attended by the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Communication Science Program, lecturers, and the PKKMB organizing committee. PKKMB provided new students with an introduction to the academic environment, learning system, and various aspects of student life within Undergraduate of Communication Science. Through the program, students were expected to gain essential information and knowledge to support their adaptation throughout their studies at UNJ.

The Coordinator of the Undergraduate Communication Science Program at UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR, welcomed the 2026 cohort and encouraged them to view PKKMB as an important first step in preparing for their academic journey in higher education. In her remarks, Dr. Dini stated, “We hope that this introduction to university life will provide students with a clearer understanding of campus life, particularly the curriculum they will undertake in the Communication Science Study Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta, which is aligned with the university’s vision and mission.”
The 2026 PKKMB program went beyond welcoming new students by providing them with essential academic information. Participants were introduced to the fundamentals the Undergraduate Communication Science Program, the curriculum they will undertake throughout their studies, potential career paths, and the program’s graduate profile. These sessions provided students with an initial understanding of their academic direction and the competencies they are expected to develop throughout their university journey.
With the completion of the 2026 PKKMB, the Undergraduate Communication Science Program officially concluded its new student orientation program. Bringing together the program, lecturers, students, and organizing committee, the event provided a meaningful starting point for the new cohort as they begin their academic journey at UNJ. Through this initial introduction, students are expected to enter their university life with greater preparedness, knowledge, and confidence as members of the UNJ academic community.
