DEA MUTIARA TEAM, A STUDENT OF UNJ COMMUNICATION SCIENCE BACHELOR PROGRAM CLASS OF 2022, WON THE BEST PROTOTYPE AWARD AT THE INDEPENDENT ENTREPRENEURIAL EVENT “WIRA WIRI” UNJ 2024

Jakarta, 13 December 2024 – Dea Mutiara, an undergraduate student from the Bachelor of Communication Studies Program at Universitas Negeri Jakarta (UNJ) class of 2022 managed to make a brilliant achievement by winning the Best Prototype award for her business, Crustopia (Croissant Ice Cream) in the UNJ 2024 “Wira Wiri” Independent Entrepreneurship event. The event was attended by more than 500 participants who were members of 100 groups from various universities in Indonesia.

Dea Mutiara’s team, FB 56, won the award with their creative and applicable prototype innovation, which was developed through an in-depth research process and understanding of market needs. The prototype design was designed with elegant aesthetics in line with Crustopia’s branding and concept, so as to attract attention both in terms of visuals and functionality.

In the development process, the team combined a research-based approach and creativity to ensure the prototype met user needs. “We want to create something that is not only visually appealing, but also functional, we test and evaluate to assess the feasibility of the product before launching commercially,” explains Dea Mutiara, Chief Marketing Officer at FB 56. The Coordinator of UNJ’s Bachelor of Communication Studies Program, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos, M.Si, CPR also gave appreciation to the Dea Mutiara team “Congratulations to Dea and the team. Hopefully they can continue to develop their business not limited to the wara wiri program, but can continue and develop their business more optimally. Who knows, later you can open a branch of this business.” Dini said.

The UNJ 2024 “Wira Wiri” Independent Entrepreneurship Competition is part of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology’s program to encourage students to develop an entrepreneurial spirit. During this event, participants are guided by professional mentors and supervisors who are competent in their fields, attend intensive workshops, and are tested on their business presentation skills before a jury consisting of academics and industry practitioners.
