Communication Science UNJ Secures BNSP License for Digital Public Relations Content Production Schemes

Jakarta, December 3, 2025 — The Professional Certification Institute of Universitas Negeri Jakarta (LSP UNJ) has officially received a license from the National Professional Certification Board (BNSP) to implement competency assessments for Digital Public Relations Content Production Schemes. Valid until September 19, 2030, marking UNJ’s strengthened position as a nationally certified and credible professional assessment body.

With this approval, all proposed certification schemes—including the Digital Public Relations Content Production Cluster—are now fully authorized for implementation. This milestone reinforces LSP UNJ’s capacity to support human resource development for both internal UNJ members and the broader public.

The newly licensed schemes cover multiple strategic areas such as Designing Digital Media Analysis, Conducting Digital Media Analysis, Preparing Public Relations Scripts, Producing General Publications, Developing Electronic Media Content, Creating Digital Media Content, Producing Paid Media Publications, and Conducting Digital Media Monitoring, among other approved units of competence. As part of the rollout, LSP UNJ will conduct its first round of competency assessments in early February 2026, with registration scheduled to open in early January 2026.

This licensing achievement brings direct benefits to the Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program at UNJ, providing students with access to nationally recognized professional certifications. These BNSP certifications are expected to enhance graduate profiles, strengthen employability, and increase competitiveness in the communication and digital media industries.

The Coordinator of Communication Science UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., stated “Praise be to God, the program team formulated this two years ago with many improvements, starting from a fairly large team to a minimalist one. With three changes in student assistants, we finally succeeded in obtaining the license. Hopefully, in the future, many communication science students and students from similar fields will be certified for this scheme through LSP 1 UNJ.”

With 12 BNSP approved schemes now available, LSP UNJ invites students, alumni, and the wider public to participate in the certification process as part of strengthening their professional competencies and advancing their career readiness.
