Jakarta, November 2025 — Undergraduate of Communication Science UNJ completed their Final Semester Assessment (UAS) for the Professional Image course by participating in a “Professional Character Building through Dining Etiquette” program held at Hotel The Acacia Jakarta. The activity, led by course Lecturer Dr. Wiratri Anindhita, S.I.P., M.Sc., CPR, involved a full table-manner practice designed to enhance students professional competencies.
The assessment began with a seminar delivered by Andi Arman, Food & Beverage Manager, who explained Table Manner etiquette standards and their role in shaping professional conduct. He highlighted essential skills such as posture, verbal and non-verbal communication, utensil protocols, and situational awareness during formal business dining.
Students then engaged in a structured table manner simulation guided by hospitality procedures. The activity aimed to strengthen soft skills, corporate readiness, and students understanding of professional behavior in organizational environments.

To appreciate both professionalism and creativity, the program awarded Best Costume recognitions to Christian Abednego and Jihan Zhafira for their exemplary adherence to the event’s formal dress code.
The Coordinator of Communication Science UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., expressed her feelings “Hopefully, this table of manners will be useful for students and can be applied to build business networks afterwards.”
The Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program hopes this agenda will remain a consistent effort to prepare students with competencies that align with industry expectations and professional standards.
