Undergraduate Communication Science UNJ Helds Digital Marketing with AI Certification to Strengthen Student Competence in the Technological Era.

Jakarta, December 5, 2025 – Undergraduate Communication Science UNJ in collaboration with the Indonesian Digital Marketing Association, held a Digital Marketing with Artificial Intelligence (AI) Training and Certification event from December 1–3, 2025, which concluded with a certification exam on December 4, 2025. This activity was attended by 127 students.

The training was intensive, referring to the competency standards in the fields of AI, marketing, and advertising based on the latest SKKNI (National Competency Standards). The entire series was guided by professional instructors experienced in applying AI technology in digital marketing strategies, so that students not only learned theory but also had hands-on practice using various AI-based tools currently used in the industry.

Over the course of three days, participants learned about everything from the basics of artificial intelligence and prompting techniques to how AI is used in research, digital content creation, and marketing campaign optimization. The material covered included AI-based market research, competitor analysis, buyer persona development, landing page design, and visual and video content creation using platforms such as ChatGPT, Canva AI, Pictory, BuzzSumo, SEMrush, and Google Ads.

During the three days, participants learned about everything from the introduction to artificial intelligence concepts and prompting techniques to how AI is used in research, digital content creation, and marketing campaign optimization. The material covered included AI-based market research, competitor analysis, buyer persona development, landing page design, and visual and video content creation using platforms such as ChatGPT, Canva AI, Pictory, BuzzSumo, SEMrush, and Google Ads.

Participants were also trained to develop monthly content plans, manage advertising campaigns with Google Performance Max features, and perform SEO optimization using various tools such as Surfer SEO, Frase, and NeuronWriter. All of the practical sessions were designed to enable students to understand the modern digital marketing workflow that is integrated with artificial intelligence.

To conclude the training series, students took a certification exam on December 4, 2025. The exam included document assessment, digital work presentation, and evaluation of understanding of AI-based marketing practices. Through this stage, participants were tested on their ability to apply AI technology appropriately, creatively, and responsibly.

The Coordinator of Communication Science at UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., expressed her feelings: “The implementation of this certification is part of the commitment of the UNJ Communication Science Undergraduate Program to provide learning that is relevant to industry needs. With comprehensive material and a hands-on approach, this activity is expected to support students in broadening their horizons while increasing their readiness to face changes in the digital world.”
