
Jakarta, 13 January 2026 — The Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program, Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, Universitas Negeri Jakarta (FISH UNJ), implemented two International Community Service Programs (PKM) at Shinawatra University, Thailand, on 13 January 2026, as part of its commitment to international community engagement and applied communication practices.

The first PKM activity was led by Dr. Kinkin Yuliaty SP, M.Si., with team members Dr. Elisabeth Nugrahaeni P., M.Si., Maulina Larasati Putri, M.I.Kom., Vera Wijayanti Sutjipto, S.Sos., M.Si., and Marisa Puspita Sary, M.Si. The program focused on strengthening media literacy awareness, addressing algorithmic bias, and enhancing resilience against disinformation through participatory and contextual learning approaches.
The second PKM activity was chaired by Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., supported by Dr. M. Fikri Akbar, M.Si., M.M., Nada Arina Romli, M.I.Kom., Noprita Herari, M.I.Kom., and Mega Ayu Permatasari, M.Si. This activity emphasized ethical leadership and digital communication as instruments for community empowerment in cross-cultural and international contexts.

Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., Head of the Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program FISH UNJ, stated,
“Alhamdulillah, the international community service program with Shinawatra University for the academic community has been successfully conducted. God willing, a Zoom session will be organized in the future to involve students as well.”
Both PKM activities involved lecturers, students, and members of the academic community at Shinawatra University, fostering mutual knowledge exchange and collaborative learning. Through these initiatives, the Undergraduate Communication Science Study Program FISH UNJ continues to promote socially responsive and internationally relevant communication practices.
