
Jakarta, July 1 2026 — Communication Science UNJ participated in the International Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) Signing Ceremony organized by ASPIKOM Jabodetabek in collaboration with Mapúa Malayan Colleges Laguna (MMCL), Philippines. The event was held on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Universitas Esa Unggul, West Jakarta, bringing together deans and heads of Communication Science study programs from universities across the Greater Jakarta region.
The event aimed to strengthen international academic networks and foster collaboration in communication studies through institutional partnerships and research cooperation. Alongside the signing ceremony, participants attended an international seminar titled “International Research Partnerships and Grant Opportunities in Communication Studies: Opportunities from the Philippines,” which highlighted opportunities for cross-border research collaboration and international research funding.
Representatives from 21 higher education institutions participated in the program, including Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Universitas Indonesia, Universitas Gunadarma, Universitas Bakrie, LSPR Institute of Communication and Business, Universitas Paramadina, and several other universities within the ASPIKOM Jabodetabek network.
The seminar provided participants with insights into developing international research partnerships, expanding academic collaboration, and accessing global grant opportunities. The discussions also emphasized the importance of strengthening communication research through regional and international cooperation.
The Coordinator of Communication Science UNJ, Dr. Dini Safitri, S.Sos., M.Si., CPR., expressed her feelings, “We hope this event will lead to many fruitful collaborations between both parties, Communication Science UNJ and our partner organization.”
Through its participation in the MoU/MoA signing and international seminar, Undergraduate of Communication Science UNJ reaffirms its commitment to expanding global partnerships and supporting internationalization efforts in education, research, and academic development.
